KTI, a Quantum Design product line, is highlighting its MTR Series turret rewinder at LOUPE Americas 2026. The unit features automation technologies designed to improve productivity, reduce waste, and simplify operation for narrow web converters.
The MTR Series is a four-spindle turret rewinder engineered for high-performance label and packaging applications. Featured options include KTI’s automated core loading system with proprietary core hopper technology, which automatically loads cores ranging from 0.75″ to 3″ while allowing adjustable spacing for a wide range of roll configurations. The system reduces operator involvement, improves efficiency, and enables faster turret cycle times for short-roll production.
The machine is also being displayed with KTI’s roll closure system, including inline print-and-apply capabilities that automatically apply labels containing job information, lot numbers, production dates, barcodes, and other variable data. The MTR’s automated core loading and roll closure technologies help converters increase throughput while reducing labor requirements and downtime.
“We’re excited to connect with converters at LOUPE Americas and showcase practical automation solutions that deliver real productivity gains,” says Angie Ostler, president, Quantum Design. “Our goal is to help customers reduce setup time, improve repeatability, and get more from their production lines.”
KTI has also unveiled the SmartSlit Advantage Series automated knife positioning system from Maxcess Tidland. The product is designed to dramatically reduce setup times, improve safety, eliminate positioning errors, and allow repeat slit patterns to be stored and recalled.
